One of the many great marketing campaigns Nike has had was the “DeMarcus Cousins in the Nike LeBron 11 Black History Month” which promoted the Nike Dunks in the the mid 80’s. For this campaign, colorways were made of the Nike Dunks specifically to match college teams. The Nike Dunk was yet another great creation by Bruce Kilgore (who also designed the Nike Air Force 1) and has become a staple in the Nike line ever since.
